Bepanthen Protects

For the past few weeks we have been taking part in the Bepanthen Protects Challenge. We have been Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment during every nappy change to help care for Tommy's delicate skin and protect from the causes of nappy rash.

Did you know that a newborns skin is 40% thinner  than an adults, which makes it more sensitive to irritants that can cause nappy rash?

Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment has been created with a kind to skin formula. It is fragrance, colour and preservarive free and contains Provitamin B5 to help repair the skins natural protective barrier.

I have been appling a thin layer so Tommy's skin after each nappy change and after bathing. The cream had a non sticky formula so it's really quick and easy to apply. To make life easily the cream has a flip top lid  does not need to be cleansed away at the next nappy change. I've kept a tube at my changing station at home and a small tube in my bag for using on the go. For the past few weeks I've not…

Substainable Play With Plan Toys

Recently I've noticed Tommy has been losing interest in his baby toys and choosing to play with toys that require more imagination such as vechicals, his play kitchen and more concentrated activities like puzzles and construction. So I decided it was time to pack up the baby toys and pass them onto another little one who could make use of them. That same week we received a beautiful package of toys from Plan Toys for the boys to try out, the timing was perfect!

Plan Toys focus on creating wooden toys made from reclaimed rubber wood. There toys are designed to nurture creative little minds while maintaining a strong commitment to being environmental friendly. Plan Toys are always produced in the sustainable way possible and aim to to use the most natural materials such as water based dyies and recycled paper.

My first impression of the toys was the outstanding quality. The looked durable enough to with stand a clumsy toddler who still likes to throw things alot! The toys looked br…

Baby Bjorn Kitchen Set Review

This week we received a beautiful kitchen set from Baby Bjorn in one of their exquisite new colours to try out. The set arrived beautifully packaged in a gift box, inside was clover shaped plate, cup, cutlery and bib in powder blue.  I instantly loved the colour , it made the product look contemporary whilst still looking like a baby product. Each of the products in the set are especially designed to encourage and support independence and make meal times easier. The plate is shaped like a three leaf clover to help your little one scoop food onto the spoon. It also has slanted sides to help keep it in place. The cutlery is is designed for small hands to easily grasp and the pelican still bib can catch spills. The cup has a wide base to keep it steady on the table and is perfectly sized for little hands to hold.

The kitchen set has certainly received both mine and Tommy’s approval. I love it as it not only looks good but has proved to make meal times less messy. So far the plate has st…

Tips For Creating Instagram Flatlays

If you follow me on Instagram you will know am quite partial to posting a flatlay, I like how they mix up my grid and allow me to be a little creative. I find them really quick and easy to shoot and lighting is rarely an issue (natural lighting only). In no way I am claiming to be an expert but I have learnt a few tricks along.
Backdrop The backdrop is a key element of my flatlays. I tend to use two different textures layered together, this could be a white bedsheet and faux  fur blanket or wooden flooring and a throw.  I like to change the textures seasonally, in winter I favour faux furs and in summer lighter fabrics. I find using the same backdrop several times gives continuity to my feed and inkeeping with the tone.

Theme & Colour Pallet  Before creating a flatlay I always have rough idea in my head if how I want it to look or what I would like it to portray. The image also has to fit in with my current instagram grid colour pallet. For example when creating the image below …

My Goals For 2019

As 2018 draws to a close I've been having a think small about  goals I would like to achieve next year. Am not one for making resolutions as let's face it not many people actually stuck them out but small goals seem more achievable. Am not aiming for any major lifestyle changes but rather small steps that I think would make me feel happier and more for filled.

I've also added a note at the bottom talking about another goal I would love to make happen in the future but simply isn't feasible at this time.

One For Coffee Loves

I've made no secret of the fact that am a bit of a coffee addict and to be honest am rather snobbish about which coffee I drink.
One of my most favourite indulgences is waking up first when the kids are still sleeping and sneaking down stairs for a coffee in peace before the chaos begins.

This Christmas CoffeeBewer kidly gifted me one of thier Growers Cup 10pcs Gift Sets to try.

The gift set arrived beautifully  packaged, inside the box was an assortment of different  speciality coffee pouches. My set included organic & hand roasted coffee from Columbia and Brazil to name a few.

Whats different about these coffees is that you brew them in the pouch rather than a cafetiere but you still get the same great taste. Simply open the pouch and pour in the boiled water then leave it to brew for a few minutes. It's then ready to serve straight from the pouch using the spout. Each pouch makes two cups.

The packaging is made from kraft paper that can be recycled and a thin layer of …
